Product Description

The apparatus consists of a fabricated transparent acrylic stand supporting three cells in the form of 50 ml glass beakers. Electrodes are suspended into the cells, each having a low voltage lamp in series to indicate the current flowing. The three cells and lamps, as a group are connected in parallel and provided with a pair of 4 mm sockets for connection to the external supply. The lamps provided will allow operation on a supply of up to 12V D.C. Dimensions are 215mmx155mmx115mm widthxdepthxheight

FAQ's of Conductivity apparatus:

Q: How is the conductivity of solutions measured using this apparatus?

A: To measure conductivity, place up to 50 ml of the test solution in a borosilicate glass test tube, insert it into the insulated adjustable holder, and ensure the electrodes are immersed. Power on the device and adjust the manual knob; the analog meter displays the conductivity value instantly within the 0-2000 S/cm range.

Q: What types of solutions can be tested with this conductivity apparatus?

A: This apparatus is suitable for measuring the conductivity of acids, bases, and salt solutions, making it ideal for a range of laboratory applications in chemistry and physics experiments.

Q: When should the electrodes be replaced, and how is this done?

A: Electrodes should be replaced if you notice unstable readings, visible wear, or after prolonged exposure to corrosive solutions. Simply disconnect the existing electrodes and install new ones-replacement is straightforward due to the apparatus's user-friendly design.

Q: What safety features are included in the device?

A: Safety is ensured through a shock-proof, earthed metal housing, insulated grips on the test tube holder, and a neon indication lamp that lights up when current flows, preventing accidental shocks and ensuring operational awareness.

Q: Where can this laboratory conductivity apparatus be used?

A: It is ideal for educational and research laboratories, including schools, colleges, universities, and research institutes, providing both demonstration and analytical capabilities in the study of solution conductivity.

Q: What are the benefits of using a shock-proof casing and insulated holder?

A: The shock-proof casing and insulated holder protect users from electrical hazards, enhance durability, and ensure safe handling even during high-precision measurements under varying laboratory conditions.

Q: How does compliance with ISI and CE standards benefit users?

A: Compliance guarantees adherence to recognized safety and quality benchmarks, providing confidence in performance, international acceptance, and suitability for rigorous scientific work.
