Precision Heating and ControlThe oil bath employs a PID digital temperature controller ensuring accurate and stable temperature regulation up to 300C. With a heavy duty immersion heater, rapid and adjustable heating rates cater to varying laboratory requirements while maintaining a uniform heat distribution across the chamber.
Safety and ReliabilityDesigned with advanced safety features including over-temperature cut-off and low oil level detection, this oil bath safeguards both operator and sample. Glass wool insulation and stainless steel construction further enhance operational integrity, ensuring safe and efficient high-temperature applications.
Versatile Laboratory ApplicationsEngineered for high temperature testing, calibration, and thermal studies, this oil bath is suitable for various laboratory workflows. Accessories such as a wire mesh bath bridge and a handled cover come standard, simplifying laboratory operations while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
FAQ's of OIL BATH (High temperature) :
Q: How does the PID digital temperature controller maintain accuracy in temperature regulation?
A: The PID digital temperature controller constantly monitors and adjusts the heating output, ensuring the oil bath maintains a precise set temperature with minimal fluctuation, typically within 2C at 300C. This enhances repeatability and reliability in thermal processes.
Q: What safety features are integrated into the high temperature oil bath?
A: Key safety features include an over-temperature cut-off to prevent excessive heating and a low oil level sensor that alerts users to prevent dry operation, safeguarding both the equipment and samples.
Q: When is this oil bath most effectively used in the laboratory?
A: This high temperature oil bath is ideal for thermal studies, calibration tasks, and any process requiring stable and uniform heating up to 300C, such as material testing, reaction kinetics studies, and temperature conditioning.
Q: Where can the oil bath be installed for optimal performance?
A: The oil bath should be placed on a stable, heat-resistant laboratory bench with adequate ventilation around the unit. Ensure proximity to a suitable power supply (230V AC, 50Hz single phase) and accessibility to the drain, overflow, and filling valves for convenient operation.
Q: What is the process for adjusting the working temperature and checking temperature uniformity?
A: Simply set the desired temperature on the PID controller; the digital display shows the real-time value. To confirm uniformity, you can use the digital/analog temperature indicator at different points within the chamber, ensuring heat distribution is even within 2C at 300C.
Q: How does the included wire mesh bath bridge and cover benefit laboratory users?
A: The wire mesh bath bridge supports vessels above the heating element, minimizing direct contact with the oil and maintaining sample integrity. The cover with handles reduces heat and oil loss, improves energy efficiency, and protects users from accidental splashes.
