FAQ's of Flash And Fire Cleveland HO:
Q: How does the Flash and Fire Cleveland HO determine the flash and fire points of petroleum products?
A: This apparatus heats a petroleum sample in an open cup using an electric heating system, then introduces a gas flame to detect the temperatures at which vapors ignite (flash point) and continue to burn (fire point). Results are observed on the analog display, following methods outlined in ASTM D92, IP 36, and ISO 2592 standards.
Q: What is the typical usage process for this equipment in a laboratory?
A: To use the Flash and Fire Cleveland HO, place your petroleum sample in the provided cup, insert the thermometer, and cover with the stirrer-equipped lid. Manually operate the electric heating and use the analog display to monitor temperature rise, periodically applying the gas flame to test for flash and fire points as specified in relevant standards.
Q: When should I use this apparatus in quality testing or research?
A: Employ this instrument whenever you need to determine the flash and fire points of petroleum products-usually during quality control, formulation testing, or research and development to ensure product compliance and safety according to ASTM D92, IP 36, and ISO 2592 guidelines.
Q: Where is the Flash and Fire Cleveland HO typically used?
A: This apparatus is most commonly used in petroleum laboratories, research and development centers, quality assurance departments, and testing facilities associated with oil refineries and chemical industries.
Q: What benefits does the manual operation and analog display offer?
A: Manual operation allows users to have direct control over testing procedures, while the analog display provides clear, real-time temperature readings, making it easier to capture precise flash and fire points without digital lag or complexity.
Q: How do the included accessories enhance the testing process?
A: The thermometer, sample cup, and stirrer-equipped cover streamline sample handling and temperature monitoring, ensuring standardized preparation and execution of each test for reproducible results.
