Product Description
We are engaged in offering a wide array of
Slip and Creep Measurement Apparatus for measure co-efficient of friction between pulley material and different belt materials. To measure belt slip speed and observe the limited value of load constant speed when the slip Just starts. The motor speed is varied by Thyristor Control D.C. Drive. A double channel digital speed indicator indicates driving and driven pulley speeds. With the help of Stroboscope (not in the scope of supply) it is possible to demonstrate the slip of belt on driving and driven pulley. Used in major experimental applications, this range is inclusive of very salient features.
Scope Of Experimentations:- To measure co-efficient of friction between pulley material and different belt materials
- To measure power transmitted with varied belt tension
- To measure percentage slip at fixed belt tension by varying load on the Brake drum and plot the graph of (T1-T2) v/s percentage slip i.e. Slip Characteristics Finding a Creep Zone from graph
- To measure belt slip speed and observe the limiting value of load at constant speed when the slip just starts
- To study creep of belt
Utilities Required:- Electricity : 0.5 kW, 220 V, Single Phase

FAQ's of Slip and Creep Measurement Apparatus:
Q: How does the Slip and Creep Measurement Apparatus work?
A: This apparatus measures the slip and creep of sample materials by subjecting up to five test pieces to controlled conditions-temperature, pressure, and spraying modes. Digital sensors track displacement within a 0-20 mm range, displaying precise values on an LCD panel.
Q: What is the procedure for preparing and running a test on the apparatus?
A: First, install up to five test pieces onto the removable, slotted stainless steel inner trolley. Secure the manual hinged door with safety lock, set the desired testing parameters (temperature, pressure, and spraying mode), and initiate the process. Results are recorded digitally and can be exported via USB.
Q: When should the apparatus be recalibrated or maintained?
A: The unit comes factory-calibrated with certification; however, periodic calibration-typically annually or after intensive usage-is recommended to maintain accuracy. Regular maintenance includes checking the integrity of safety features, valves, and ensuring the chamber is free from residues.
Q: Where can this slip and creep tester be installed?
A: Designed as a bench-top device with heavy-duty wheels on an outer trolley, this apparatus is suitable for laboratories in industrial, research, or educational environments across India. Its compact 750 mm x 450 mm x 750 mm size ensures easy integration in most lab spaces.
Q: What are the benefits of using this slip and creep measurement apparatus?
A: Users gain from its high measurement precision, stable construction, and comprehensive safety. The apparatus supports efficient workflow with multi-sample capacity and digital documentation, facilitating reliable research and quality assurance in material sciences.
Q: How is data recorded and exported from the apparatus?
A: Slip and creep values are captured and displayed in real time on the LCD panel. Data can be exported directly to a computer using the USB interface, allowing for easy storage, analysis, and reporting.
